Liverpool is a vibrant city brimming with culture, history, and energy.
This year, the Liverpool Christmas Market will officially open — the perfect way to kick-start the festive season. With twinkling lights, delicious food, and a magical atmosphere, it’s the ideal place to soak up the Christmas spirit in one of the UK’s most iconic cities.
We'll be travelling via coach, but once in Liverpool, the day is entirely yours to spend how you wish.
Tickets cost £16 for Hallam students and £19 for non-students. This includes travel via coach to Liverpool and a return journey to Sheffield.
Travel
We'll depart the HUBS at 8:30am, so please arrive by08:15am
We'll leave Liverpool at 5pm, so please arrive by 4:45pm for our return journey back to Sheffield.
Unfortunately, we are unable to wait for latecomers, so if you miss the coach to/from Liverpool you will be responsible for making alternative travel arrangements and you will not be reimbursed.
What to bring
All you need to bring is yourself and your ticket.
Weather in the UK can be unpredictable, so we recommend checking BBC Weather or the Met Office beforehand and dressing appropriately.
Accessibility
If you have any seating requirements (e.g. seat near the front due to travel sickness) then please let us know at suevents@shu.ac.uk and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Please feel free to bring any aids you need to make the journey more comfortable such as headphones, an eye mask if you plan to sleep, fidget toys, or a book.
There are some steps up to the coach with handrails, and there is space under the coach for storing mobility aids.
Please note: The coach company that we use is an external company and is not affliated with the students' union. Hallam students' union cannot be held responsible for delays due to unforeseen circumstances including traffic delays or vehicle breakdowns
Terms and Conditions
All tickets once sold are strictly non-refundable in all circumstances except where an event is cancelled by Give it a Go. Notifications of cancellations will be given on social media and email where available.
