Join us for Threads of Solidarity, a transformative dialogue series designed to create a safe and empowering space for minoritised students to share experiences, build connections, and work towards collective change. This series promotes honest conversations about race, identity, and intersectionality. Whether you seek to share, listen, or learn, your presence is valued. Let’s share our stories, experiences, and aspirations for a more just and inclusive future.
We are honoured to welcome Dr. Sadiq Bhanbhro, Senior Research Fellow at the Centre of Applied Health and Social Care Research (CARe), Sheffield Hallam University. Dr. Bhanbhro brings extensive expertise in the interrelated impacts of cultural, gender-based, and climatic determinants on health and wellbeing, with a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
His research addresses critical issues including honour-based abuse, gender-based violence, and structural health inequalities. He is the co-editor of the forthcoming book Anti-Racist Nursing and Midwifery: A Guide for Students, Practitioners and Educators (2025).
Dr. Bhanbhro also leads several pioneering initiatives as the founder of the Medical Anthropology and Sociology Research Network, and co-lead of both The Global Sex and Gender Violence Group and the Anti-Racism Research Group.
Join us for this important event as we engage with intersectionality through research, lived experience, and collective action.
