The Student Career Compass - Yorkshire Special…

Over the past eight years, the Student Career Compass has grown into a national movement, connecting students from schools and universities with some of the UK’s most respected employers to help them make confident, informed career choices. This October marks a major milestone: for the first time, they are taking the Student Career Compass event outside London, beginning with a special edition in Yorkshire, hosted in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University and The University of Sheffield.

This event will bring together a diverse mix of tech and non-tech organisations, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), BBC, CBRE, Deloitte, Kier Group, Microsoft, NatWest Group, RSM UK and Thrive Social Capital. Students will gain valuable insights into:

• What it’s like to work at these organisations and their values
• Career trajectories and opportunities available
• The journeys of recent graduates and apprentices
• What recruiters look for in candidates and how to make a strong application
