Society Committee Training 2026 (October)

*** This event is exclusively for HSU Society Committee Members for the academic year 2026/27***

We are delighted to invite you to this year's Society Committee Training on 26 October 2026. This event will provide you with the key information about being a committee member including SU processes, finance basics and planning for the year ahead. The training is compulsory is for all societies if they did not attend the September session. Society activity cannot take place until your Society has attended this training or September's.

Important information:

Each Committee Member that is able to attend must purchase an individual free ticket on this page.

We will be tracking attendance for this training and at least one Committee Member from each Society must attend if they did not attend the September session. 

Please arrive promptly for 4:45pm for registration. Have your ticket ready. 

We'd recommend that you bring your laptop and/or pen and paper.

Structure:

4:45pm: Registration at the entrance of Dorothy Fleming Lecture Theatre, Charles Street

5pm - 7pm: Essentials Training (including breaks)

Accessibility

This training will be held in the Dorothy Flemming Lecture Theatre in the Charles Street building. We will have a dedicated space for lunch and refreshments within Charles Street, alongside scheduled breaks throughout the session.
