Ever feel like your voice isn't being heard on the issues that really matter to you? Well, here's your opportunity to change that. We're thrilled to welcome Abtisam Mohamed MP, the Member of Parliament for Sheffield Central, to speak directly with you.
Thousands of Hallam students call her constituency home, which means she's literally your representative in Parliament. This isn't some stuffy lecture – it's an informal drop-in designed for you to ask questions, raise concerns, and help her understand how she can make positive change for students. Whether it's about your university experience, concerns in the wider Sheffield community, or something else entirely, this is your chance to make a real impact on local and national democracy.

Abtisam is genuinely invested in what you have to say. She chairs the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for International Students and sits on the APPG for Students, demonstrating her direct interest in student welfare. She's already committed to advocating for Hallam students on crucial topics like housing rights and international student challenges, and she's a familiar face at the Sheffield Students’ Assembly covering student-led discussions on everything from personal safety to public transport and the cost of living.
