HSU Orchestra - Taster Session

Whether you've played with an Orchestra for years or this is your first time collaborating with other musicians, come along to our first rehearsal of the year and taster session for the society. We will start the rehearsal by playing a few pieces in different styles of music - some of which are new to absolutely everyone (exciting!). We will then run a relaxed team quiz to help people get chatting and have lots of fun - there are prizes to be won!

We welcome all string, brass, woodwind, and percussion players of any level - you just need to have your own instrument!

Unfortunately, we cannot currently accommodate guitar, piano, or vocals.

The event is held in the SU Building outside Owen Building (in Hallam Square), which is also the location of our usual weekly rehearsals. There will always be a friendly face to welcome you at the door, so please don't worry if you're coming alone for the first time.

You can find us at many different Hallam society fairs during Fresher's week and we're always very active on our social media if you have any questions!
