FANS - Christmas Bake Off Challenge

Ready to put your baking skills to the test — or just fancy a festive end-of-year social?

Join FANS for our Christmas Bake-Off Challenge, followed by festive drinks, a quiz and the all-important judging! 🎅🍰

🍫 The Bake-Off

Bakers will be given an easy chocolate yule log recipe to use as their starting point, but what happens from there is up to you!

We'll provide a selection of optional ingredients so you can put your own twist on the recipe and create something unique.

Experiment with your:

🍊 Flavours — from orange, peppermint and coffee to spices and more

🍓 Fillings — think raspberry, cherry, hazelnut, salted caramel and other festive combinations

🎨 Decorations — chocolate, fruit, nuts, icing, festive decorations and more

✨ Christmas theme — traditional, elegant, colourful or completely over the top!

You'll have a set amount of time to bake, fill and decorate your yule log before presenting your finished creation for judging.

Bakes will be judged on appearance, taste, creativity and overall presentation, with one creation being crowned:

You can still get involved!

We'll turn the judging into our FANS end-of-year Christmas social, with festive drinks and a quiz so members who don't want to bake can still come along, socialise and enjoy the evening.

Whether you're competing for the Bake-Off crown or simply joining us for the festivities, it's a chance to celebrate the end of the semester with FANS. 

You don't need to be an expert baker — the Bake-Off is all about experimenting, getting creative and having fun with food.
