We are very excited to be able to offer to our students an exclusive Emergency First Aid at Work course.
The ‘Emergency First Aid at Work’ qualification is a Level 3 Award accredited by Ofqual, is FAA approved and recognised by the HSE. It is a 1 day course and is valid for 3 years. On completing the course all candidates will have the skills and knowledge to provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. Topics covered during the course:
- Responsibilities, legalities & reporting
- Primary survey
- Secondary assessment
- Unresponsive casualty
- Resuscitation & AED
- Shock
- Choking
- Wounds, bleeding & bandaging
- Minor injuries
- Burns & scalds
- Epilepsy
Ticket Information
Tickets for this course are £30. Tickets are non-refundable and we will only process a refund if we are able to fund a replacement for your spot on the course.
Things to know
- Arrive at the course in plenty of time before the event so we can check you in
- Have your e-ticket ready, this can be on your phone
- If you are late for the event and have not let us know we may give your spot to someone on the waiting list
What do I need to bring?
Please bring your ticket confirmation (this can be on your phone). You may also like to bring a drink and some snacks/lunch for the day as these will not be provided.
Terms and Conditions
Tickets, Cancellations, Refunds and Adverse Weather Conditions
- All tickets once sold are strictly non-refundable in all circumstances except where an event is cancelled by Give it a Go. Notifications of cancellations will be given on social media and email where available.
- Give it a Go is open to Sheffield Hallam University students and its Alumni only. Each student must book their own ticket however Give it a Go takes no liabilities if a guest is denied access without the proper production of an NUS or uCard.
- As the Covid-19 situation can change rapidly, we will advise you if the trip must be cancelled due to staff shortage or government restrictions. In the case of a free event, you do not need to do anything; if you have paid for the event it will be refunded if the event must be cancelled.

Expected Conduct and Liabilities
- Please observe the authority of the event host and follow all reasonable instructions. Our staff and guides are there to keep you safe!
- We advise against you taking expensive or sentimental belongings to these events. Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union cannot be held liable or responsible for any losses sustained to property however caused.
