Moving out? Having a clear out? Drop off your surplus or unwanted materials at our Art Materials Amnesty.
Coordinated by Franklin Okafor, your Social Sciences and Arts Officer, every donation ensures fellow students have access to a varied bank of supplies via our Materials Swap Shop.
Created in response to student feedback, the Materials Swap Shop helps support students facing high course material costs.
What to donate:
- Paper, sketchbooks, canvases, mounting boards
- Fabric scraps, yarn, haberdashery
- Pens, pencils, pastels
- Paints and ink
- Paint brushes and palettes
Donations welcome 10am-4pm at Hallam SU - Owen.
Got other items to clear out? If your items aren't crafty, don't worry - we can still find them a home:
- Donate, Don't Waste - Use the donation bank at Hallam SU - Owen or on-street donation points in key student areas for kitchenware, books, board games, clothes, shoes, accessories, small electricals, and more!
- Community Fridge - Drop off sealed, non-perishable food and drink items and we'll offer them to other students for free.
Every donation helps a Hallam student and keeps useful items out of landfill.
